The prevention of disease is so important for our pets as one year in their lives is a long time. The ability to catch medical issues in its early stages is most favorable for a positive outcome. Northshore Veterinary Hospital recommends regular preventative healthcare visits so we can do our part to gain as many healthy happy years for your pet family members. Prevention costs over time can be less financially burdening then catching a disease when it has advanced.

  • Internal Parasites
  • Nutrition
  • Vaccination Status
  • Dental Health
  • Ear Health
  • Eye Health
  • Respiratory System
  • Exercise Status
  • Digestive System
  • Musculoskeletal System
  • Behavior
  • Lumps and Bumps
  • Skin and Haircoat

Current Medications – It is important to review current medications and make any necessary adjustments. Bringing a list of medications that we might not be aware of is highly recommended so we can update our records.

Lab Work – We can run many lab work requests that your veterinarian recommends with quick results from our in-house lab.

Fecal Exams – To assist in the control of intestinal parasites, a fecal exam will help guide your veterinarian to dispense necessary medications. NSVH and the Companion Animal Parasite Council recommends regular deworming. As well as protecting your pet, protect your family. See our page on Zoonotic Disease under Resources.
