Kimberly Barron

DVM, Owner

Kim attended Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1992.  She worked at the National Institutes for Health, for the Public Health Service, for two years while attending veterinary school.  After graduation, she practiced in Maryland and Washington D.C. at general and emergency hospitals for 3 years before moving to Bellingham in 1996.

Kim started Northshore Veterinary Hospital in 1997, and is a founding member and past president (2011-12) of Animal Emergency Care.  Kim has a special interest in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, abdominal ultrasound, and endoscopy.

In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors. Kim has a naughty little dog named Nebbi, and a trembly Chihuahua named Sea Sea.  Her pride and joy are her two daughter’s Madison and Jaimie.  The whole family loves to foster kittens for the Whatcom Humane Society.
